That painting looks good on you!

I would like to see original art in everyone's living (and working) spaces.  Living with fine art and other handmade pieces is good for the soul.  As humans, we love to see the artist's hand in the work. It's connection and care.

Check out my online gallery to see paintings of mine that have made their way to homes across the country.

ABOUT ME

I've always enjoyed making things: knitting, drawing, painting, you name it. I majored in Art in college but life has a funny way of bringing you down paths that you never expected. I had a fulfilling career in HR while raising my kids and made room for painting wherever I could find it.

In 2023, I decided to be less of a painting “dabbler” and to really learn the craft of plein air painting. While studying under teachers like Scott Christensen and Robert Moore (lucky me!), I gained traction with my painting skills. The more time I spent outside with a brush in hand, the more I felt the pull to commit to my pursuit of painting. So in early 2026, I left my HR career behind to paint full-time.

These days, I live in Tetonia, Idaho, with my husband, Clayton, surrounded by the kind of light and landscape that inspire me. In 2025, I picked up several awards at the Driggs Plein Air Festival, and my work has shown in solo and group exhibitions around the region, including through the Teton Arts Council.
